Acorn class - Term 4

This week was science week and we had a whole school investigation, 'The case of the missing biscuits!' Each year group had an investigation to complete, Reception had to look at the crumbs that were left at the scene of the crime and work out what biscuit was taken. We looked carefully at different biscuits with magnifying glasses and tweezers and then compared our findings to the crime scene biscuits crumbs.

Acorn class - Term 4 - Week 3

 

Our topic this term is all about fairy tales and this week we focused on The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We read the story and then worked in groups to retell it. We had to think about how to act and remember to say particular phrases from the story.

We have had an exciting start to term, we celebrated our 100th day at school by dressing up as 100 year olds and taking part in different 100 themed activities such as writing CVC words, counting and colouring spots as well as completing the register and singing our days of the week song in our best old voices!
